Avar-e-Jahan (Group Exhibition)

Curated by Yasaman Zinati, Amaanatdaari Space, Rasht, Iran | November 2024

"Avar-e-Jahan" is a bittersweet journey through the themes of exile, love, and loss, inspired by the songs of Ramesh. Using symbols like flickering candles, fluttering butterflies, and fire, alongside the quiet, enduring presence of objects and gateways, it creates a moving portrait of separation and belonging."

About the Works

The House on Fire series reflects the moment of witnessing irreversible loss and standing powerless as destruction unfolds. Here, fire acts as both a force of collapse and a turning point for transformation, showing the fragility of home, nature, and human control.

Through burning forms, the work explores grief and helplessness. Yet, it also looks at the quiet clarity and hope that can follow devastation, where ruin becomes the beginning of a renewal rather than just its end.
